Say Hellooooo to Mr Goedeby JaimeVinasComment by Yo_Spiff: I like the bug eyed fisheye look of this. Overall I like it. The background is mildly distracting from the subject, the edges of the hair against the background appears a little harsh. |

Say Hellooooo to Mr Goedeby JaimeVinasComment by Monique64: Hmmmm. Interesting portrait. I dont think it quite fits the challenge but good photo all the same. I see you've used a lense that distorts the portrait. This is interesting in a good and unconventional way. Looks like someone on the other side of the door looking through the peephole. I guess that I was hoping to see something that is markedly disassociated from the rest of the picture. The subject takes up about 80% of the frame not leaving much room for isolating it from the rest of the scene. Thats why I feel it doesn't really meet the challenge for me. |

Locked Forever!by JaimeVinasComment by Kavey: Beautiful subject matter - exactly the kind of rusted padlock I'm often drawn to! For me the left half of the image is by far the strongest and the right hand half doesn't contribute much. I wonder whether a tighter zoom onto the padlock and the horixontal bar and handle below it OR a portrait crop excluding the right hand half would make for a stronger composition? Anyway, lovely colours and the 3D textures really pop out. |

Into the skyby JaimeVinasComment by Melethia: Nice use of foreground to add to a landscape (in portrait mode - which I prefer, too.) You seem to have an issue I have - not quite enough sharpening for viewing at DPC sizes. Mind you, I like it this way (my stuff is not sharpened enough either) but a bit more might add pop at this resolution. |
