Spring Hummerby ScapeshotsComment by kleski: Lighting seems off to me, most hummingbirds are shot from the front/side with a fill flash of some sort. The feathers are not as clean this way. I have no prefrence to the wings, stopped or like this looks good. Nice capture, this is a hard shot to get just right. |

Night in the cityby ScapeshotsComment by boyd2000: San Diego? This looks much like a shot posted here last week. Nice reflections. I took some shots of these boats during the daytime, but they didn't look nearly as nice as nighttime. |

Night in the cityby ScapeshotsComment by Blackbox: Compared to the background and reflection in the water, the boats are boring and almost like they're not a major part of the photo. But, it's a super great photo I think deserves a 10. |

The ride of your life!by ScapeshotsComment by BHuseman: I have to say, that this is an excellent image of a F-15E Strike Eagle from Seymour Johnson AFB, North Carolina, or as we call it, Stinky J. The only drawback that I noticed right off the bat is since you reveresed the direction of the plane the SJ on the tail doesn't look right. Being in the AF, I saw that and had to look twice to figure out that the SJ was reversed in order to realize the plane belonged to Stinky J. Still this is a phenominal in flight capture of this deadly machine of war. I love the afterburner effect off the tail fo the plane and the sense of motion is second to none!
I can tell you as a kid I always enjoyed the Miramar Air Show. In 14 and a half years of being in the Air Force, I have yet to see an air show that was as top notch as the Miramar show was. Of course it is a shame that they had to move Fightertown USA from Miramar Naval Air Station to Fallon, Nv, but life goes on. The crying shame of it all was when it went from being Miramar NAS to Miramar MCAS. Soemthing about that just isn't right.

Night in the cityby ScapeshotsComment by ThatChickOverThere: the city lights distract almost too much from your subject. If this wasn't specifically a boat challenge, I might not have an issue with it -- it is a beautiful scene....but the boat gets lost here. |
