The eyes almost get lost between the spots! Lovely image. I am not sure but it is as if it is a wee bit over exposed and distracts a little but still worthy of a high score. Magnificent animal though.

Very nice. I love the texture on texture on texture. Gives it soooo much edpth and the diamond effect created makes it very dynamic. I'm not sure how I feel about the mottled look of the BG though. does add more texture but something about it rubs me the wrong way. Otherwise wonderful capture though. Well thought out.

Ouch! Way too much sharpening and contrast for my taste. If the pic was too soft and there was no other option then sharpening it this much, try converting to B&W. Then the higher edge contrast is less a problem. Otherwise: If you used unsharp mask, or something like that, you could try experimenting with lower values for radius. This makes the sharpening more subtle.
