this image is great in detail with the laces and loop holes of the boot ... with the intertwining of the laces up the boot it certainly shows symmetry ... i love the tones in the black and white and the texture that you have captured with this photo - the composition is just right... great job

This is a great indoor macro shot ... showing the needles and thread sure does show the size of the subject ... the composition is nice and the DOF shows enough to make an impact of the image. I do like the black background it sets the red foreground off quite nicely .. great detail and sharpness shown in the texture of the pin cushion and the flat heads play a cute part in the actual image of a strawberry and its seeds. great job! .. Very creative and unique. A good black&white, the lighting and contrast is great. Only a little bit overexposured on the lace in the middle. I like the texture contrast of the blank metal vs. the rough lace. 9

The form and textures and amazing. The 'everydayness' of the object, and often unobserved symmetry of the shoelace is visually interesting and brought to life by your great shot. I am only unsure about the border, which seems either too small or unnecessary. I expect either removing it, or increasing it's size a few pixels would make quite a difference. None-the-less a great shot.
