Raptureby KarenBComment by Pedro: There's a lot that I love about this. The pose is fantastic; unique in this challenge for sure. The desaturation works well, and really fits nicely with the border (don't listen to all the jokers who will tell you they don't like your border - it's great). Can just see enough of her (your?) face to get an expression, which is very peaceful.
I struggle with the editing. the shadow is unnatural, and the cutout is a little choppy in parts (which is natural for cutouts - they're very difficult to pull off). After 40 votes or so, this is my favourite. |

Raptureby KarenBComment by SharQ: Tastefully done. You get the idea of a flower about to break open. I bloody hate the border, though. |

Soulby KarenBComment by RLS: Karen,
I didn't get to vote on thi challenge but I really like your photograph and think it should have done better. Your husband has a very nice looking saxophone. I am certain he must be very talented to own such a handsome woodwind instrument.

Soulby KarenBComment by dsidwell: This takes a second to click in to what it is. I like how the dark tones suggest Soul. perhaps a different point of view would clue us in more that this is a sax--including more keys, for instance, or just panning a little wider? |

Soulby KarenBComment by mci: this has the makings of a really interesting shot. so many great surfaces and curves and highlights, but this image is really dark. i'd really love to see the lighting and contrast kicked up a notch to really bring out the subtleties of the instrument. 6. |
