This is a very emotional photograph for me. I am mentoring a young girl who I have really grown to love, who struggles with this cutting herself thing. My heart breaks for what she goes through. I like the photograph alot. It gives voice to the deep, deep pain that is a real problem in some really awesome people's lives.

hmmm...I am sure that cutting your hand with a sharp tool is painful, so in this sense the picture does convey the idea or emotion of pain...i am not sure that it conveys the emotion or idea of pain of life...somehow I do not see the connection..but it is a good picture (6)
