The CHOSENby andrewtComment by julesski: Fantastically detailed despite the fact this is a picture of a swans bottom! - 7 from me |

The CHOSENby andrewtComment by MarioPierre: Nice details on the feathers and of course, brilliant contrast! I get where you were going with the composition and motion but it somehow feels a little, what's the word, 'confined'? Still very nice. :) |

The CHOSENby andrewtComment by Paul: OK, I'm going through the Free Study submissions, purposefully finding those images I think are shot with a less conventional eye - this is one of those images! Thanks for offering something that isn't just DPC friendly eye-candy (though of course there's nothing wrong with eye-candy). I'll be picking one of these images for the Mu (most underrated) award:
Positives: As soon as I looked at this I thought AlexSaberi, a swan, a deep black backdrop and fabulous execution. I'm not at all convinced that I'm right but that photographer popped into my head straight away. This really is an excellent image though - so much more than the sum of its parts. I LOVE the way this buck convention and shows us the wrong end of an animal.
Critical stuff: Nothing at all.
Overall: Superb work. |
