Sandcastlesby ellamayComment by wingy: well.. the distant shoreline is interesting from the perspective of someone standing in ankle deep water, but the nudity doesn't really seem to add anything to the shot. |

Sandcastlesby ellamayComment by dodobird: Thanks goodness for a change in the subjects sex, I was afraid somewhere there must have been a clause "no men" Now to the photo, this is nicely done the perspective is great and the focus is done well. On my monitor it is a tad grainy but not too bad. The positioning of the subjects was also done well. The only improvement I can see is the sun overexposing the subjects upper right arm. 9. |

Sandcastlesby ellamayComment by Kavey: I like this a lot content wise and composition wise.
I particularly love the inclusion of the skyline.
I love the ripple pattern near the model's feet and the way they direct the eye to the horizon and light lines of waves or water near that.
The horizon feels a little tilted to me - could perhaps do with a touch of rotation.
The model is neither a silhouette nor well enough lit not to be a silhouette, sort of stuck somewhere in between. Therefore my main preference would be to have some fillin light directed towards his body. Not too much, so one still gets the impression of him standing to face the sun, but just a touch to show more detail.

Sandcastlesby ellamayComment by Pedro: lighting seems a little flat. increasing the contrast would help. I like the little sunflares on the water. interesting composition. |

Sandcastlesby ellamayComment by DrJOnes: Love your title. Very original. Nice composition. Might be a bit stronger removing a bit from the left. A sepia tone could have added some warmth in the photo and could have brought back the idea of sand. 6 |

Sandcastlesby ellamayComment by JPR: lol. this image is strikingly humorous and emotive at the same time. I could see it on the wall at an inner city nudist colony or something! Nice work. |

a lengthy lookby ellamayComment by Fayech: i really like the composition. good use of verticle lines. love doing shadow shots too! p.s what are those scraps on the floor? a little distracting from the subject. |

a lengthy lookby ellamayComment by carolee: Interesting choice. It really sets a mood, and the leaves add something too. I like the pose, almost dancer-like. Nice. |
