hmm, I only gave this picture 5 and it came out 2nd. I'm trying to think, why?.
I don't get a strog 3d textur feel from this photo. Bit confused how this texture would feel, I know these are soft feathers but I get a metalic wire feel from the photo.
I usually sit close to the monitor and all these strong lines almost gave me a headache but its better if I move about 1 meter from the monitor but I did not do that dureing voting.

After takeing a longer look and thought I would probably vote 7, from 1 meter distance.

Now this is a good shot. The composition is fantastic. I think this could be sharper and appears to have some noise (little dots going up the gold stem), but the colors and presentation make up for it.

Excellent color... good composition and lighting as well. This looks like feathers, but it also looks like really thin wires. I wish I knew exactly what these are, but I've liked this photo everytime I see it.
