If you're going to do a portrait of a pet this is the way to do it. To make it even better, add some fill light in front to catch the eyes.

Beautiful animal in nice lighting. You need another light to show the eyes more. There was an article on Paul Harvey today - a small Mexican community elected a MULE as Mayor. The local priest said thet "Mr. Pickle" (the mule) was the only candidate that was not corrupt. Since the instructions were clearly a person - I'm sorry I can't rate this very high.

Obviously, this doesn't meet the challenge. It's also a bit dark, particularly around the eyes and under the mouth. I like what's going on with the ears (how did you do that?) but I miss being able to see those eyes.

I'd like it much more if his ears were in the correct position and if there were some light in his eyes. Also, I think a little more depth of field would have helped.

Very important item missing in this photo. It's the eyes. Eyes is the most important thing in a photo.
