Dragonfly 2by ephlnComment by Atropos: Beautiful colors. Would be nicer if the dragonfly was completely in focus, though. I know these guys are hard to shoot though, since they always want their backs to the sun. I believe if it was in focus and from the other side this would be one of my favorite photographs of an insect. |

With a tripod, this could very easily have been in the mid-6 range. You have a great eye - now all you need to do is steady that camera :-) |

Butterfly Jitterbugby ephlnComment by MelonMusketeer: This is sweet!
It is hard to stop the action with flying butterfly shots. I am not sure how fast the necessary shutter speed would be, but it is well over 1/250 sec. I can't keep my lenses pointed away from butterflies when they are around either. |
