Francis Parer was the first operator of the kiosk way back in 1905

1905 - Parer operates the Kiosk living on site and is know as Parer's Pavillion although its offical name is Austral Refreshment Rooms.

Terry, you are now making me homesick.........from that spot you can see my old apartment. I used to look out over ST Kilda Pier every day......Love the composition and the clouds here look great...

Well, these are just down the beach from where I used to live. Love the Brighton Beach Boxes, they are something different. Great sky colours through this and the bright colours of the boxes curving through the images works really well. Love how you used the Aussie flag box as well, I always tended to try and include it in my image..........A great natural HDR here..........

Hi Terry.......Trying to remember which church this is, cause it looks familiar but I can't remember where it was. I am missing the fine weather so not having clouds I think is good because the deep blue sky means all the emphasis is on the Church and trees. A great image to start PAW2010 with

you didnt miss much
as Sulamk commented on the original it had a really bad halo around the buildings and the tree outline
so i re processed the images and lessened the strength and that rectified the halo effect

Thanks for identifying this lovely scene. Having relatives who lived at Hedley ( near Yarram ) I am a little familiar with Toora and the South Gippsland Highway, but have never been here. Something to rectify.
