Oh There's No Plate Like Chrome for the Hollandaiseby dogzComment by beaflies: Returning for comments. I really loved this, one of my top pics!! By far the most creative pun! and beautifully done!! Appealing soft light without being flat, and excellent choice of cropping. Did not have a clue the sauce was was fake :) yes, underrated! |

Wide Openby dogzComment by melismatica: This is very strange and surreal. I think I get how you did it (is that George Washington or Thomas Jefferson?) Very creative. I can't imagine how most voters will like it (it looks a bit arty for most tastes on this site) but it certainly makes use of shallow DOF (the way I interpret it anyway). I'm not sure if I like it or am just responding to the unusual quality. It certainly has me thinking about it, anyway which is more than I can say for the majority of DPC offerings. To me, it looks like it would make a cool album cover. I'm still not sure I actually like this image but I'm scoring high for meeting the challenge, and for originallity, creativity, and technical soundness. |

Wide Openby dogzComment by magnus: Bizarre image, but certainly meets the challenge! Unfortunately the falloff of sharpness is so rapid that if it wasn't in this challenge, I'd have guessed it was shot through cloudy glass with a slit in it. |
