Court of the Myrtles ... Alhambraby DiScComment by smudgeSMJ: At the Alhambra I think that there are a myriad of fantastic subjects and photos that you could take. I don't feel that this is one of them. Such a simple reflection of such a simple portion of the architecture doesn't do justice to the time, effort, and artistry of that place. Would like this better if something were in focus or not a part of the reflection. |

Very fast foodby DiScComment by pointandshoot: What a wonderfully bizarre creature you have created. Almost as if it has materialized from it's surroundings. |

Bank ... belly-upby DiScComment by Mark-A: This shot doesn't do a lot for me, I assume this is a US bank?
I get the idea but unfortunately it doesn't really hit home for me.

Cinderellaby DiScComment by Louisa: Greetings from the critique club!
This is a technically beautiful shot. The lighting is spectacular. I especially like how the first set of stair rails pop. The composition and crop is great. Although, leaving in the corner of the front post may have been nice. Not a deal breaker though.
The photo definitely sets the scene for a fairly tale, however, like many of the commenters, I feel it's missing a subject. I realize this may have been hard to accomplish, as it seems you happened to be visiting there, and not necessarily going there with the intention to shoot for this challenge. Maybe someone would let you borrow their high heeled shoe. =)
Overall, I think it's a beautiful shot, and had the potential of being something amazing, if you had added a subject. I'm fairly certain that's the only reason you were voted down. |

Cinderellaby DiScComment by bassbone: a lovely effort - the geometric shapes are great - i can just see the scene in the story as she rushes away at midnight - o, to see the glass slipper... |
