I am making two passes on this Challenge. I will vote on your photo then return later(before voting is over) to comment on what I like and dislike about your shot. You can take the comments however you wish and I will try not to be mean. Just don't take it the wrong way.

One where the border works. I also love the shadows.

Great photo - a little on the contrasted side but good!

This seems a bit too over exposed. I like the shadows but the white just seems a bit too bright.

Comment by BrennanOB:
great light and textures, but the highlights are a touch too hot. It could have been great, but it is quite good.

Comment by Tallbloke:
Th elight is a bit harsh and the subject a bit boring. Try a different angle, lie down on the ground, stand on the gravestone and shoot down. The featureless (near) stones and the expanse of boring wall just make this a bland shot...sorry.

Lives up to its title. Stark arresting image. Interesting textures. I like the comp. Monochrome works well.

Yes....these are lines....but its so un-interesting! I'm not trying to insult you, but simply give you feedback that many probably are not giving you. This image is a simple pattern and lacks interesting composition, as well as a subject! I have no idea what kind of rating you're getting right now, but I'm sure you would have finished at least 50-100 places higher if you had a subject. Picture a ladybug crawling along one of the lines....even a leaf that had fallen into the grill.....maybe even a curled up burnt hotdog with grill lines on it on the edge of the frame. I've given simliar comments to other people who submitted line patterns with no subject. Just my two cents. Hope this helps.

I am always a fan of the abstract, and this does it for me.
