Not sure about the central location of the bloom. Maybe try a crop of the left side and bottom?

Well, I won't kiss it, but I do think this is very lovely in its simplicity. the colors are simple but stunningly captured & the lines & variations in the bg keep it interesting & act as perfect foil to that sweet yellow. This look sso good, I want to eat it...

The blown out leaf in the upper corner is cropping the frame to appear odd. The color of the rose is delicious. The focus seems to be behind the flower though.
