very well done...just one thing (minor) the sun blast on the left...somehow (and I don't know how) can be "softened" so it isn't so bright...awhile back someone told me how to do it but I don't remember how now....

Fun, though probably more effective after having read your story and gotten some insight into the day's event and your personal connection to it. I'm not sure the message would carry so strongly on it's own. Interesting shot, by the way.

I love this kind of light. Very nice wide view with lots of neat stuff going on - the shadows, the line of lights, the benches, and the birds on the water. And of course the light. Like this.

A good solid image that is crisp, sharp and properly framed and composed - a technical success in every way. From an artistic standpoint, it is an intersting image but of less than universal appeal. A good entry into the challenge.

More a image of lighting than a creative use of lighting. It's hard to rate this because of it's nature. It might have been a better approach to find a subject and then use the lighting to create the image rather than of the light itself.
