comp excellent, light ok, the dof is too shallow for this image. Ususally, in sports, you do want a shallow dof as to focus on the athlete. In this case, I want to see his face. I want the photographer to share this athletes emotions, and this is where you failed. All I am able to care about is his finger tips, and that is only part of the story.

Blacks a bit deep, whites need help, texture ok. Overall, a nice attempt.

DOF a little too shallow. If just finger tips were in focus, I could see the statement there, but the middle of the hand is the only part in focus. Tips are out of focus. just my $.02
