as a real golf ball would not turn its shape as such when hit by a golf club, so I can safely assume that this is a smart setup to make the ball appear to as if its being hit at the moment this photo is shot. anyway, a real golf ball being hit, it would only affect the area being hit rather than "balanced" on both sides of the ball as shown on your photo.

Nice effort ("The shot was hard to get as Mikisi was way back in his cage and would not come up front (despite my pleadings) where the lighting was better") but I see this shot is out of focus.
The background is too dark also. I think you are getting high score because of the meaning of the picture instead of its quality.
Nice but you can do it much better cole, I've seen it.
