leaf in running waterby deceptiveComment by Imagineer: Beautiful textures and a great capture. The water looks lovely - very nice shot. Perhaps a little closer to the leaf would have been good. [9] |

leaf in running waterby deceptiveComment by Shiiizzzam: This is really nice. I love the leaf only in it's beautiful color against the b/w. That adds a nice contrast. The water flow is perfect and not too soft. 9 |

You have met the challenge by having the main subject of your shot "off-center," and it is well placed on the left third of the picture. This gives it a strong feeling of stability while not stagnating the dynamics of the picture. The eye is able to "rest" on the sculpture and go to the negative space then back to the sculpture.
I also like the simplicity of the shot with the green and blue interrupted by the sculpture. It almost seems, though, that some of the details are missing, so I am wondering if a different camera angle or different time of day (if either was possible) would help that.
The focus is good, and the subject matter may be interesting to those that know the story behind the sculpture, but I suspect it may not hold the interest of a large general audience.
If you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact me.
