Enter Darknessby orvaratliComment by posthumous: brilliant stroke to "remove" the slats from the tracks and just create two bolts of lightning entering darkness. a bold stroke to devote so much of your composition to it. 10 |

Just Another Flower Bokehby orvaratliComment by Tim: It's good to see some foreground and background bokeh in the same photo - although here I think it overpowers the actual subject and its just a photo of bokeh, rather than a photo WITH bokeh |

Enter Darknessby orvaratliComment by Melethia: Very nice angle and choice of tones for this. Only nit is I keep trying to scroll up just a bit. On the other hand, if I scroll down to just the top of the front of the car, I don't feel as though anything is missing from the top. Still a very effective photograph. |

Just Another Flower Bokehby orvaratliComment by timfythetoo: And a nice one at that. Great colors, nice sharp focus in the center and the background is pleasnt. Maybe a slightly higher crop up front maybe just below the row of 4 flowers. The background seems strong enough that the front ones take away from the image slightly. Nice work though. |

Just Another Flower Bokehby orvaratliComment by Artifacts: Like the color and the idea behind this image. Having the centered flower in sharpest focus is a good idea.
Soft focused foregrounds generally are not as pleasing as soft focused backgrounds. They tend to be more distracting. In your case the 'quality' of the bokeh is better in the foreground than the background. However, that being said, I'd still consider cropping about 20% off the bottom even though the background bokeh is on the harsh side. |
