Progression by zeuszenComment by crabappl3: Not a traditional use of composition, with the horizon in the middle, but it works well here due to the lack of color in the shot. Makes for a good mirroring of sky to water. 10 -danny |

Progression by zeuszenComment by tommy_t: I'm assuming this is dawn because its very quiet. The picture is great, very peaceful, cropped to perfection. Curious to know where this is. |

Silly me, 16 years in Germany and I still can't get it right :-) Good on you for picking it up, you don't miss a thing do you?
Congrats on a fantastic pic too. |

Götterdämmerung [Twilight of the Gods]by zeuszenComment by zeuszen: Thanks for all the comments.
> Firstrich1: So would I (love to know more about the sculpture). I found it on a Vancouver Beach well after sundown, apparently a transient piece. The fog was so thick, you couldn't cut it, and the light you see in the photo is what my lens picked up. To my eyes it was pitch black.
> timmi: the raw shot, indeed, had a slightly orange hue to it. I desaturated and deliberately changed hues slightly to achieve a more subtle effect here.

Progression by zeuszenComment by ButterflySis: I really like this one. I like how the boats wrap around from one side of the photo to the other. The reflections are great, too. Nice job. |

Progression by zeuszenComment by Neuferland: Talk about a busy harbor area! You captured the challenge very well to me but the balance of light from the left to the right is just a bit to much, to bright on the left. I like the way the line of boats draw your eye all around the shot but the masts are so empty, adds a sense of sadness, too bad you couldn't get them all to raise their sails for your shot! :) |
