I think this type of night aerial shot seldom translates well from what the eye sees to. what the camera sees. If it were taken with some remaining light in the sky (dusk or dawn) thereΓΆ€™s a higher chance of getting something with visual appeal. For me this comes off as just points of light on a dark canvas. Keep on shooting!

Interesting but not overly so. Taking a picture out of a plane window is okay for wrapping up a trip but its hard to get an effective picture at night. You have the plane's vibration to deal with not to mention its motion. You are also shooting through a heck of a lot of glass. Consequently its hard to get a shot you are really going to be happy with. (i.e sharp with good exposure and composition).

Is this from one of the canyon roads off of PCH? It looks familiar, but it's been years (early 80's) since I've been there. Beverly Glen maybe? Mulholland? Hmmm...I'll have to check back after the challenge is over.
