Great focus, love the shallow dof. The black top is almost half of the entire image which hurts the photo. I would have tried to shoot from a higher angle if possible to see which is better composed. 7

Classic equipment and translucent Gold Colored Vinyl (well orange / gold). Fantastic lighting. A little something going on in the background with the faint white shapes. Maybe could have thrown a dark sheet over that or other wise muted it more? I really enjoy the detail of the arm. Have to say it again how I like the lighting. Makes the forground visiable without looking light blasted. This should do well. Something to be proud of. Also nice use of thirds.

I love this picture. The DOF is right on. The spinning of the record is obvious and suggests the person who took the picture is enjoying some tunes worthy of an inspiring photograph. The perpendicular placement of the arm in the frame is great and helps keep my eye in the lower portion of the image due to it being completely in focus from left to right. The exposure could not be better. My favorite so far. 10.

I love the simplicity an elegance of this photo, one of my favourites even though the majority of the shot is not orange

i don't exactly understand that this head of the pick-up is fading away... it's very present and there is no suggested movement of fade... it's too sharp...to fade...it's just not working for me...

The tonearm is excellent - well lit, sharply focused, etc. Really pops out at me

Comment by Glen King:
Not a bad pic, but I don't really see the parallel lines. Are you saying parallel lines of the sides of they rail? Why not show both rails. If you want to emphasize the parallel lines of the ties, why not get down closer to their level.
