I was just thinking another "hacked" title for this might be Beauty and the Beast. I like the contrast between the "smooth" flower and the rougher bark next to it. The the twig quickly making it's presence known in the lower corner seems to be the only real probem.

This appropriately titled photo does give a nice sense of 'solitued' for me. The single daisy against the dark background and intricate wood grain also shows some amount of 'hope' and 'determination' as well... The brightly colored flower also contrasts nicely agains the rest of the image and immediately draws the eye ov the viewer. Very nice work!
