Very good. To nitpick: I don't like the border on top of the crop across his forehead.
If you just left it cropped that way, it would be fine, but adding the border looks odd IMO. I think it drags the viewers eye up to that slice and thats not the best focal point of the picture.

pretty interesting looking guy. I would have preferred to see him looking into the camera. His expression also seems almost bored or distracted. The little boy however, is certainly entranced.

I hesitate to make comments since I am obviously not an expert, but here goes: the photo meets the challenge and is in good focus. It is just my opinion that a photo should be able to "stand alone" apart from the challenge (not sure that makes sense, in other words, it should be a good subject even if you don't know what challenge it was entered into). I felt that was where this photo was a little weak -- I couldn't see it having meaning apart from the challenge.

Really nice range of tones, I love the picture and the feeling in it. I used to go to drum circles all the time, I haven't been able to find one near where I live now, and I miss them. the child watching the drum really draws you into the feel of the shot. 9 from me
