Apocalypseby jmsetzlerComment by tolovemoon: Its not "copying" for say... Just borrowed idea... To many photos are the same these days anyways, ok not all to many... But ya know when you have the artist permission or atleast give credit where its do and take it to your own level then it makes for a respected situation. This is really good.. Congrats on being in the top 20:) |

Untitledby jmsetzlerComment by charmayne: This to me is one of the best in this challenge and exemplifies what I believe alot of photography is about. Capturing a moment, whether it be a sunset or a bird in flight or an expression or emotion and freezing it. An image doesnt have to be rich with color or amazing photoshop inhancement to have impact, certainly we can find those in water colors or oil paintings should that be the goal. This image certainly has "Wow Factor" for me! I gave it a 10 and will be adding it to my favorites WOW!! |

Untitledby jmsetzlerComment by Brad: John,
This was a superb photograph, but as we all know, didn't have the wow factor. I sure would have been proud to have taken this and would have probably chosen it as a best of 04 shot too. Was one of my favorites overall.
Keep 'em coming. |

Untitledby jmsetzlerComment by lwkimages: FOUR ones!!?? Unbelievable and frustrating that anyone (...let alone FOUR) could say that this image is the worst of the worst.

Two Tone Tonic by jmsetzlerComment by undieyatch: This dpc icon has a staying power that is remarkable. My first impression of it during the vote (I gave it a 5) was that it was set up using a format from a Popular Photography magazine "how to" project circa 1965. I still have that impression of it when I look at it and (to it's credit) the many spin-offs it has fostered on this site. What I like in this image aside from the quality of technique is the 60's pop-op genre it seems to fit into. The colour of it - I always thought was over done, looked at in b&w or sepia, the soul of this composition shines. |
