Background is distracting. Either it has a distinct useful pattern or it doesnt.
Placing of the subject on the photo doesn't draw your eyes to it immediately. |

While the toning is quite nice, there really isn't much to interest the viewer in this shot. If you're going to take pictures of the ordinary, you need to put some type of spin on it giving it a unique perspective. |

Wood Pileby dtremainComment by karmat: Focus seems a bit off in general, though it is difficult to pinpoint where. Also, it is a bit flat in tone. Perhaps boosting contrast would help. |

Wood Pileby dtremainComment by trevytrev: Nice tone that goes well with wood. I feel that the frame is a bit busy with no real main focal point causing the eye to jump around the frame in no real order. |
