Personally not a fan of this picture. Your shutterspeed in both elements of the picture were too slow and your ISO was way to high by the very visible grain in the photo. Also i find the photo distracting because in the other exposure (people) There are several people that draw attention. In future i suggest you just shoot on a black background with a flash; then it won't add any data except your subject. Also on the flag i'm not sure if you were going for a rustic feel/ approach but the stripes look almost pink for some reason. So i would adjust my White Balence.

Good job with reproducing details. The high contrast works well here, likely because there are significant middle grays and you haven't allowed the shadows to be plugged. The halo along the top of the building is a bit problematic, but as this is basic editing, is difficult to avoid. Like.
