Nice find. Good details in the wood/fabric. The bright lighting kind of offsets the weathered look a bit. Make bring in some sepia type tones, and it would have really looked old.

Isn't it amazing how they can balance on weeds? This has a good use of bokeh, but I feel like the bird could be a bit sharper, especially around the head.

Lighting is a bit flat looking, but the idea has some potential. I'm curious what the books are about. I see a Swastika and Star of David on the spines. A romance set in WWII? The seriousness of the concept does not quite fit with the levity of the apes.
