Web of Pearls by eyeduphotosComment by rdebruyn: This shot is quite nice. So many don't meet the challenge. This is beauty in imperfection, made from nature and so delicate that a strong wind could easily destroy it. The water beads truly look like pearls. |

Toadby eyeduphotosComment by jonfrommk: Super high contrast on a slightly over exposed background, really makes this picture eyecatching. the border and the blurring of the foreground and background work very very well. I also like the fact that the pov means that this toad could almost appear to be a lizard. Great sharpness and focus as well (and as ever with your shots)
Struggling a lot to come up with even the smallest thing I dont like about this picture, possibly the bluring in the foreground could be a touch more feathered, but to be honest in order to find that comment I had to really look at the shot with the most negative of hats on and with the sole intention of finding something to 'complain' about

Helmsby eyeduphotosComment by jonfrommk: Super portrait of a beautiful animal. I love the way he is looking directly at the camera, it is almost a liitle disquietening (in a good way if that makes sense) as it takes you aback because you feel that he is REALLY looking at you as you examine the shot. Super focus and I like the fact that the background adds colour without being overpowering
My sour comment perhaps goes some way to explaining why one can never tell how a picture is going to do in the challenge, because I dont like the softened border. I think it is to do with the fact that because the sky is so light it just appears rather than seeming continuous (the place where it appears is also about 1/3rd down the image so it possibly attracts the eye more than it should do

Toadby eyeduphotosComment by Charlene: This makes me laugh. I like toads and frogs (just to look at, never touch!) and I love the high key sandy grit to this one. Hmmm... sour? Maybe wishing I could see his webby "things" (they aren't hands, what are they?), but I do like that they've sunk into the sand some. |

Helmsby eyeduphotosComment by Charlene: An absolutely beautiful capture. Great focus on the eyes. I really like the softened border, just wish it didn't cut off the smidge of his right ear. |
