Moss on Barkby WildpurpleComment by fisheye: The lighting is a bit too bright perhaps and the focus on the moss could be sharper. I find that overcast lighting is much softer and subtle. |

Moss on Barkby WildpurpleComment by vikas: Would have been a nice macro if the lighting was better! Classic case of camera metering fooled by the situation, usually I have noticed using the low powered flash and underexposing the shot with a brightly lit situation like this helps get the deep green of the moss! Also playing with WB should help! |

Going to Churchby WildpurpleComment by wyverndragon: Moose Peterson, wildlife photog, emphasizes at every soapbox he's given: The brightest thing in a picture grabs the attention of the viewer.
Accordingly, this image has a heavenly light from above wiping the sky to white? :)
Maybe shoot this image in late evening just before or just after sunset. |
