week 04 - Ball Pointby boyd2000Comment by boyd2000: I have cheap manual extension tubes that don't pass anything but light through. The lens is normally wide open unless you press the button to stop it down. Maybe you can fiddle with little levers to stop down the lens with it off, but the way I heard to do it is while you press the button to stop it down to the f stop you want, turn the camera off and it will retain the f-stop.
Yes, Judi, I agree the point being in focus would be better than the barrel. Maybe if I stopped down to f22 it would have turned out better. |

week 04 - Ball Pointby boyd2000Comment by Ken: Very good job for using the extension tubes, that DOF can be a real killer. Just curious why you took lens off the retain f-stop, couldn't you adjust with tubes on? I think mine just pass the signal straight through. |
