Hi Compaq...

Let's talk about the photo in general.... this is a strong composition and I really enjoy the perspective you chose. I also like the grain in the photo. I'm a fan of great black and white images because they completely change the perspective from which I view the image. I think the tonal range of this image is slightly flat... It could be a bit stronger possibly with some more contrast.

As for the challenge theme of 'color', I am in the group that was unable to draw your intention from this photo. Maybe your life is 'colorless'? Maybe you feel bound to the computer... Maybe you are an introvert who is captive in the prison of your own home... Maybe you are yearning for more color in your own existence? Maybe 'color' is a desire that you have. I'm not sure... the title makes me believe this to be the case.

If my assumptions are true, then I think that you have still missed the challenge topic. The theme of 'color' may be a strong part of this image, but lack of color is probably against the main theme of this challenge. This challenge, in my interpretation, was about showing the presence of color and making it stand out in your photograph.

Don't get discouraged with the score you received on this image. Keep up the effort and keep trying. The voters at DPC are quite diverse and you will do well if I have interpreted your image with any amount of accuracy :)

I\'m having a hard time coming up with a true positive thing to say about this pic. First, the challenge aspect - although black, white and gray are all colors, the photo does not enhanse or draw attention to any of these \"colors\". Focus seems a bit soft on the hand (esp. the fingers). Contrast - nearly non-existant. Finally, your title - Life - I\'m dense, so how does a hand on a mouse say \"life\"? Really, I curious now.
