Trio on the Trailby bvyComment by tnun: The confluence(?) of biker, shadow and sign! But also they make a beautifully composed triad, each of such different substance and colour - red white and black, very special. |

Dappling In Deathby bvyComment by Love6: very nice capture of light and shadow; focus is sharp, and the dappled light works very nicely in this B&W great job; the negative space created here is also very interesting to look at as well very artistic! |

Dappling In Deathby bvyComment by rennie: It looks like the fence is pretty close. However, I think you could make this picture lifting camera a bit higher to include more graves in frame and crop out the grass in the lower part. It would give more interesting perspective. Nice dappled light. Maybe more contrast would make it more aparent. |

Dappling In Deathby bvyComment by Citadel: I won't take marks off but why did you feel it was necessary to include "dappling" in the title? What would you have called this shot had it been for a free study? That, in my opinion is the approach you should take to titling your image for challenges. If you have to use the challenge topic in the title then it usually means you are trying to shoe horn your image into the challenge. (Not in this case however)
Now that my mini-rant is over how about something constructive? Good demonstration of dappled light that certainly fits the challenge. I like the monochrome but I am also curious what this would look like in colour. Dappled light tends to make a shot feel warm and relaxed. Monochrome tends to "sanitize" an image for lack of a better term. Just a thought though and I think it could work either way.
I really like the leading lines of the shot. Its too bad that the back stones are so bright but it probably couldn't be helped.
Overall a good entry for the challenge. Well done! |
