Lifeguard Stationby bdennyComment by Jedusi: Brian, I love the colours and shapes in this. I actually really like the jumble of objects all at different angles and bouncing light different ways, but to make this more'mainstream', you probably need to crop up from the bottom a little and in from the left. Or better still take the photo from a yard more to the right :- )
Good work. |

Lifeguard Stationby bdennyComment by alexjack: I really like the lighting here, the warm, early morning side lighting is very nice, compliments the blue of the water and the sky. I think the picutre may be a bit too complicated though, as I'm havaing a bit of trouble identifiying the main subject. It appears that you were most interested in getting a shot of the tower and tree in the early am lighting and if thats the case then the walls leading down the steps tend to compete. Same with the signs on the R. I'd try to find a postion out a bit to minimize the ideas in the shot.
JMO, hope it helps, keep up the good work, you've got some nice shots in your portfolio.

Third Time's the Charmby bdennyComment by mist: I like the arrangement however I am not so sure of the partial silhouette over the couple, I think I would have liked either more or less detail there. As it is I kinda have an impression that the man has no clothes on his bottom half. So yeah, not sure really. |

At the Sawmillby bdennyComment by Ian-Andrew: Plenty of texture and detail here with interesting colours. I think using a shallow depth of field to focus the large wheel would have worked here.
