I almost shot this almost exact idea. So obviously I think it's the best idea of the whole challenge ;-)

My plan was to get really close to the nearest horse and use a narrow aperture to pull the background out of focus as it can get quite busy and distracting on carousels. I think yours might have benefitted from the same tactic

I love the picture. if you'd leave the picture alone and put the text as subject only, or put different font... something about the text is not sitting well, but the picture is awesome :)

This has a very nice comfortable feel to it. The lighting is nice too. I would clone out the trash in the bottom right of the frame though.
