I really enjoyed this picture. But for the general DPC voter, what it is probably lacking is the instant WOW impact. Scoring well at DPC often requires you to present an image that grabs the attention quickly. This one doesnt do that so much. Does that mean its a poor image? Not a chance. It is just lacking the instant eye candy appeal that most (not all) voters are looking for to give their higher votes. In vote I hung out on it for a bit (several times) and gave it a good score. I found it lovely (and still do).

J, not that I am any expert, BUT I would have to say your border hurt you on this shot...and mind you I like borders alot...but all that white area both above and below IMO take away from the presentation of the beautiful high key grass shot you were able to achieve...I've been hit down more than once for my borders...so that would truly be my guess

I am torn on the border (even though I am an addicted border user), but the image is just plain comfortable to look at. Pleasant and relaxing. My eyes gently roll around the image. Very pleasing.

lol I can only imagine how much dirt was there in the boat you were in, I bet the engine broke down at some point :D...considering the dirtiness of the window, it doesn't make the photo look too good

I'd love to see this shot again not underexposed. It really has the feel of an old (really old) picture that's been sitting in someone's drawer for decades but it's a bit too underexposed to my eye.
