I would have given this a 10 had the background been all white and the upper left cropped a bit tighter. The background branch is just too distracting to me. I love the details of the chrysalis and the beads of water are an excellent touch. 8

Marvelous pic. The detail in the water drops is perfect. Only 1 minor problem, the background seems to be overexposed. This might be because of the lighting or because of the material you used for the background. Nice DOF.

Wow, will this be a butterfly? I really love the color, water drops, composition, lighting and focus. I think the background is bit overpowering with white. Light blue or dull white (like overcast) may have been better, but hard to control of course. The webbing in the top corner takes away from the overall appeal, but is not bad. Again, the composition is beautiful!!!

Meets the challenge, and decent DOF. Problem is, bottom of a beached boat is not really an attractive subject. Also, photo seems to be tilted to the left a bit. You live in an attractive area so keep shooting and your numbers will get higher.
