To me this looks like a plain old shot of a sign. There is nothing that stands out or makes it interesting.

Comment by Dave Gordon:
The tulips are pretty, and the fence makes a nice background, but the detail gets lost in the number of flowers and the distance you're working from I think coming in close and getting four or five flowers in closeup detail would make a better shot.

The tulips bending in the breeze on a spring day is great. The fence makes a great background. The size of this image hurts it for voters. This is such a pretty picture it begs to be bigger on the screen. You are allowed to have images up to 640 pixels on a side and you should always try to use all of it if you can.

The grass has riz. Spring foliage colors combine well with old innerspring. What would make this picture fully for me is a remaining tag threatening to the full extent of the law against its removal. Just joking. On the more serious side, rust is hard to photograph. Its powdery and dark nature make it hard to render as a highly focused shot. I would have liked to have seen the mattress dragged out of its surroundings and rearranged to make one or two springs very clearly defined.

Great background by the way!

A 7.

This is a pretty garden but this image is too small to appreciate the shot. I'm not sure it would be significantly better at a larger size. The colors are rather drab and washed out. The tulips aren't really massed enough to warrent filling the frame with so many. Picking a single flower and finding a position that would show the light penetrating the translucent petals is one way to show flowers at their best in a photograph.I would classify this as a rather pedestrian snapshot.I gave it a four.

Comment by alanbataar:
The circular and linear elements in the subject offer some interesting graphic possibilities that were not capitalized on. Also, the DOF seems a little too shallow to capture the whole subject, but it's definitely a compromise re: getting nicely blurry background. Since this seems to be a pile of junk, I'd suggest that you can move things around to compose your shot -- for example, the vertical thing in the background.
