I like this, but I'd like it better with different lighting, I think. As it is, my eye goes to the blank part of the paper (where the light hits it) and to the subject's hair - rather than to his face or hand, or the writing, which are more shadowed.

this is really nice. great tones and textures, and good light, too. i think the only thing hurting this shot is that it's a tad off-center and tilted, killing the symmetry that this place has. i think you either need to go head on or with a more extreme angle. 6.

Oh...this brings back memories. Some good, some bad. We took care of several goats for a neighbor during kidding. It was wonderful!!! Our own dear Toggenberg died during kidding, and we lost the kids too. Broke our heart since we were attached to Mama Clover. She used to follow us on our hikes and we enjoyed her so much.
This is a very real drama you've captured. Good job....even if I am partial to goats.
