Lost in thoughts... by sekarmalathyComment by wbanning: I'm not a member so I can't vote on member challenges. Instead, I look through the entries for images that make me stop clicking on to the next one. This is one of those images....
What exquisite lighting! This is a terrific example of how little light against black can make such a powerful and distinct impression. Hope it does well (and expect, from my limited experience here, that it will). |

Outsourcedby sekarmalathyComment by light_weaver: I was one time criticized because I took a photo of someone with blinds in the background, I'm not sure if having a solid background would help your image or not. I think it is good. |

Outsourcedby sekarmalathyComment by inshaala: Everything is great about this, except for the composition, there is seemingly a redundant space in the top left. If that were reserved for text space then the background pattern isnt useful. I'd probably have cropped it to the where the wire exits the frame. |

Hey Whassup!by sekarmalathyComment by JacksonGariety: Greeting, from the critique club!
This shot, in my opinion, is near-perfect. There is nothing computationally of technically that could have been done any better, unless you got a little closer to the fly. At this distance, and using the 90mm, you did pretty well. Maybe it's just me, but would have like to have seen just a bit more of the fly in focus. Even though it's shallow DOF, I think you might have gotten a higher score if you used something like f/15 and got the feet, head and just a bit of the wings in focus. That would have kept me looking at the shot a bit longer.
It's hard to critique such a fantastic capture like this one. So, you get the gold!
