The main problem I have with this shot is there isnt any particular focal point. It has the repeated pattern and the abstract feel but it doesnt really require much thought or time spent looking at it. There is nothing to lead the eye around the image, nor is there anything for the eye to rest on. In images like this it is usually good to change something or add an element to make it a little more interesting. That said, the color is good, lighting isnt bad, and it looks fairly sharp.

When they said "studio" portrait I don't think they meant George Lucas' ... very clever setup. Must have been hard to get adequate lighting without washing out the projection.

I wish we could see some photographer's notes so you wouldn't need the long title though ...

Don't care for the negative image in the background myself, but it doesn't really detract from the portraiture itself. Good lighting. Would love to see the technical details even though I wouldn't use it quite this way myself.

Lighting: The window light is great, and works well.
Pose: The tilt of the head is nearly perfect to make full use of the available light and expression.
Background: The use of the negative projection of your portrait as taken is a novel idea. The neutral grey works well, without over-powering any aspect of the image. The use of a negative projection of your portrait as it is being taken is a novel idea, kudos for originality in the challenge. However, it would have made a much better portrait of you if the projector and cam were not in the frame. As it is, it showcases the technology more than it does you. IMHO, technology is at its best when invisible.

Awesome idea! I think you'll discover different takes on this--perhaps making the projected image with a seperate expression. You look so clever in the color shot!

Now that's cool!! You have that devilish "how's that" look in your eyes and grin, so I figure you are very knowledgeable about picture taking. A 10 for originality for you, young man!!!

A very ingenuous execution. Going to look at your port.lol Of course, a slight higher clarity to find the eyes would have made this complete.
