I was wondering if there would be a stained glass pic. This one is very pretty though I hink the crop is a bit tight. I'd like to see more of the artwork in the pic. Maybe it was a location constraint.

This doesn't say anything about glass to me, I gather it is a stained glass window, but it could as easily be a picture from a book. You should try to think of the finished product, what does it tell you about the theme of the shoot.

The heavy border helps the detail towards abstraction, while the hand & book effectively point it back towards the whole that it is part of.

The problem with some subjects is 'connotation' (just thinking out loud)... And that one would expect something more than mere 'depiction' of what was there, i.e. a capture making new the inherent natural qualities we perceive prior to filtering the image through camera...

Since the colour hues found here (especially the leaves bottom left) are rarely seen anymore, this shot gives me something most others can't.

the vertical lines cut the image in pieces, the color and contrast look neat, but the overall image doesn't have a subject or item of focus.
