Very nice shot though I don't think it utilizes the concept of negative space as it is too tightly cropped to get the impact that it might otherwise have.

Your neg space behind the bird is very nice. It stands out from the bird, and the bird stands out from it. I like how the bird and the branch kind of match in colors. fabulous bird portrait........ fabulous colour....... fabulous framng.... fabulous photo technical ....... fabulous field ability........ and last, fabulous use of depth of field, which I assume is your intended negative space....... but that sadly does not meet all my criteria for negative space. an overall ten for the image.......... but five for the challenge.
