Awesome photograph. It must have been very hard to select a best of 2008, you have so many great ones.

BTW, I am noticing just the tiniest sliver of white in the upper right corner. I think I would fill that in with the clone tool, if this were my photo.

First off, congratulations on the ribbon. Very happy to see that your brief moment with the DQ was reversed.

Very glad to read in your notes that you did not slip trying to get this image. I know that feel all too well here!

I think the first thing that struck me about this image was the lovely wintery light. For an image that so clearly portrays cold, it gave a warmth to it that was appreciated. I notice a lot of people used blue to enhance the feeling of cold in their images.

It's difficult to offer too much by way of critique, as it is evident both from your score and placement that this was a well received image that clearly met the challenge. I'm not sure I would have done anything differently.
