Rusted out turbine from the old mill (background)by DrakeComment by alanbataar: You might want to consider a little less information in your titles...
Technically speaking, the image is somewhat over exposed-- the sky and the tin roof are both blown out to white. Use less exposure or focus/meter on a lighter subject to force the camera to automatically expose less. |

Rusted out turbine from the old mill (background)by DrakeComment by whagerbaumer: I would have liked to see this taken with a wide enough angle in height to include the bottom of the turbine. The tight cropping to the sides of the mill works well for me as does the setting lighting and focus. The galvanized roof contrasts well with the turbine, and the faded paint contrasts well with the spring foliage. Very nice job.

New Cygnets In Trainingby DrakeComment by e301: Has a impression of being over-sharpened, as though to negate the effects of slightly too slow an exposure, but the freezing of the water in motion suggests otherwise - perhaps too tight a crop on a small image, or something similar? Lacks the immediate sharpness of a real pop image, although its a great moment to capture for all that. |

New Cygnets In Trainingby DrakeComment by sfalice: Oh, this is good! If it doesn't ribbon it's only because it could stand a bit of cropping to center attention even closer on those cavorting ducks/swans! 10 |
