Great idea. Great photo. It is so difficult to make an ordinary non-macro item look so abstract.

It looks like you bought that banana from the store on the day the challenge started, and you photographed it just before the challenge ended.

But I almost slipped and busted my arse! That would have looked funny. I kinda like it, the focus is great as well as the contrasting colors. It's not quite abstract to me though - more then many.

Looks like a blood orange - orange skin but dark red meat. Nice tight composition, good focus on the foreground orange.
