Wow!! What a beautiful flower photo!!! Your backyard must be very beautiful! I love the way you can see the whispers of pink on the edge of the petals. The yellow looks so pretty against the lush green!

We are rose freaks too! At one time, we had 23 rose bushes in our back yard -- but in Texas -- you have to use alot of trial and error to find some that can handle this extreme heat and humidity. They all look so glorious this time of year, then in Texas come June & July -- they let you know -- "No thanks".

This has perfect clarity and dof but DPC'ers are really tough raters on these if there are any technical faults (ie, exposure) whatsoever. Beautiful shot of a delicate subject nonetheless.

You've got me interested in the spot focus filter with this shot. It conveys the dry, mountain terrain and blue skies that pines like and the spot focus cone remains nicely contrasted and saturated. Nice.

This is just up my alley.. Love the way you took this shot DOF,depicts the flower well and the contrasting colors background/fleur makes it pop..

A hobby of mine is growing flowers,veggies, etc.and have this one in the Greenhouse only it's purple.. Official name is Osteospermum (What a name!).
Anyhow recognize it right away..
