presence in absence by cutoutComment by spiritualspatula: I made a joke to bvy in the forums (and this might be you...Brian...) about subverting focal points purposefully in order to make the entire photo the focus. I think you've done that here somewhat, assuming that's what you mean by your title. But, I think the busy nature of the whites and the structures, their lack of any one that stands in front or more prominently than the others, really just pulls us into the hole, the only thing with continuity. In this sense, there is still focus, focus on a void, which doubles back to the lack of focus in the detailed areas, a wonderful corollary. Nice shot. My top so far in voting, probably will be at the end too. |
